What is the difference between 304 and 316-grade Stainless steel?

Can people see inside through a Crimsafe door?

Can a pet door be installed in Crimsafe screens?
Yes, a pet door can be added to Crimsafe screens. However, installing one involves cutting the mesh and altering the door’s structure, meaning it will no longer meet the standards of a security door.
This modification also voids Crimsafe’s extended warranty, though Wynstan will still provide a 3-year warranty.
If you’re considering a pet door, we recommend discussing your needs during your consultation to find the best solution for your home.
What is the Warranty for Wynstan Crimsafe Security Doors and Screens?
When your Wynstan Crimsafe security door or screen is installed, it comes with:
1. Wynstan’s 3-Year Warranty, this covers the entire door or window screen, including all components.
2. Crimsafe’s 10-Year Standard Warranty, this covers the mesh, screws, and frame only.
Can I Extend the Crimsafe Warranty?
Yes! Crimsafe offers the option to extend their warranty by an additional 2-3 years.
To qualify for the extended warranty:
- You must register your product within 60 days of installation.
- Registration is quick and easy and can be completed on Crimsafe’s official website: Extended Warranty | Crimsafe Security Systems | Australia.
How to maintain Crimsafe Product?
Crimsafe mesh, made from 304-grade stainless steel, has an impressive lifespan of approximately 65 years. To ensure its longevity, the mesh undergoes a high-grade pre-treatment and is coated with a durable, UV fade-resistant powder.
Regular maintenance is key to keep your Crimsafe product in optimal condition. Clean the mesh using car wash or Crimsafe Wash, following the recommended intervals below based on your environment:

Will my screen door rust over time?
No, your Crimsafe screen door will not rust over time if properly maintained.
The powder coating on the door provides a strong barrier against corrosion, while the rubber seal prevents direct contact between the frame and the mesh, further protecting it from rust.
Regular maintenance, such as cleaning, helps preserve these protective features and ensures your door remains in excellent condition for years to come.
